2023-2024: Globalization 2.0
This interactive webinar series was developed in response to remarks given by Alan Bersin, Esq., former Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, at the CBTS Annual Meeting in May 2023. Read more about his talk entitled “Globalization and North America 2.0” here. The series comprises over a dozen webinars that will be presented about every six weeks. Each session lasts approximately one hour. About half of the time is devoted to the presentation and the other half to audience questions and discussion.
Each presentation will discuss critical issues, challenges, and opportunities facing North American supply chains. They explore the impacts of successful and unsuccessful efforts to re- and near-shore supply chains, along with how governments adapt to changing geo-economic realities. Seminar topics range from context setting and recognition of regional interconnections to examinations of the impacts on labor markets, finance and investment, energy, infrastructure, and regulatory approaches.
